CORE DRILLING AND SETTING MACHINE TYPE: KBS

The core hole drilling and setting machine is a tried and tested device for core hole drilling of the tapping and setting of the new stone on converters. The operations are carried out in an alignment position. The core hole drilling process creates a circular, precisely fitting hole. The new setting stone is pushed into the hole and fixed around the circumference at 360° using standard bolt guns. Then the “KBS” leaves the alignment position, the converter is rotated to slush, saving 50 to 60% of the time compared to the usual way of working.

Optionally, the “KBS” can be expanded to include an additional workstation, e.g with a Schlemm lance “KBSS”, or an additional drilling unit for making a conical bore and setting a conical setting stone, e.g. HYJET! “Type: KBSK”.

The “KBS” and optional versions can work horizontally, diagonally upwards or diagonally downwards.

The optional work steps are also carried out in the original working position without moving the machine. Here, the time savings are even greater compared to the usual way of working, since non-productive times for positioning the individual devices are eliminated, 50 to 80%.

The “KBS” and the optional variants are operated from a safe distance using radio remote control.
