TELESCOPIC EQUIPMENT

The different variants of the telescopic equipment have been developed over many decades from practice for the tough use in the steel industry. Over the course of many years in practice, two basic boom types have emerged: The “rigid” one-piece telescopic boom is the classic and the original design. It has few wear points in terms of storage and bolting. Two hydraulic cylinders arranged under the boom and the telescopic cylinder with a 4-meter stroke allow sufficient reach for all tasks. The tool cylinder installed in the front area of the inner boom for actuating the tools (e.g. ripper tooth) is a special design with special cooling, which allows a longer dwell time in the hot area.

If the range is not sufficient, the two-part articulated boom offers the solution. Two hydraulic cylinders located above the base boom allow working in difficult areas at height and below. The technical components, telescopic and tool cylinders are comparable to the “rigid” machine. The ripper as a tool is part of the standard design and can be adapted to customer requirements. Further special tools can be attached as an option, e.g.

We build our telescopic equipment on series excavators (determinable by the customer but with sufficient service weight). The decision whether mobile or chain excavator depends on the type of work. If work is to be carried out at different locations, a mobile under vehicle is recommended, but for stationary work, the crawler excavator is the first choice.

Areas of application in the steelworks: cleaning of pans; acetabulum rupture; cleaning converter; converter outbreak; taphole drilling only as a makeshift!

Other possible uses: tunnel construction; expansion in salt mines; Flattening of noise protection embankments (with appropriately adapted tools).
