Machine Technology ROTH designs and manufactures the following cable winches and disc brakes on customer request for mechanical and plant engineering or as a retrofit in existing machines.
DISC BRAKES

Machine technology ROTH manufactures two types of disc brakes, the heavy version “SBS” and the compact version “SBK”. The heavy SBS brake has two additional bearings between the drive and the gearbox. The double bearing absorbs the radial forces during the braking process and relieves the bearing of the drive motor and gearbox.
The SBK compact brake is installed in a suitable coupling between the engine and transmission. The radial forces that occur are immediately absorbed by the engine and transmission bearings. In order to prevent service life limitations, it is recommended to check the bearings in relation to the braking forces and the braking frequency. The brakes are offered with brake disc diameters from 250 to 1000 mm. With the SBK compact brake, the diameter of 600mm should only be exceeded in borderline cases. Basically, one or more brake calipers are installed, adapted to the operating conditions. With large disc diameters, up to four brake calipers with maximum clamping forces can be used. When actuating the brake calipers, you can choose between: purely mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic or spring-actuated and hydraulically or pneumatically released. The type of actuation depends on the application and should be carried out in close consultation with the customer. We would be happy to support you in the design of your disc brake!

We build cable winches with drum diameters of 315 to 1000 mm (optionally also diameters of 1250-1600 mm)…
We build cable winches with drum diameters of 315 to 1000 mm (optionally also diameters of 1250-1600 mm). The tensile forces are 3,000 to 50,000 kg, the rope diameters 12 to 40 mm. The cable winches are driven electro-mechanically or hydro-mechanically. Larger cable winches, from approx. 20 t pulling force, can be equipped with an additional emergency drive.
On request, the cable winches can be manufactured with two cable strands and with an additional disc brake. A spooling device can be attached as an option.
Depending on the direction of pull, horizontal or vertical, the frame is attached to the foundation accordingly.
The final design is carried out in close consultation with the customer, all important information is submitted for assessment.
